The fire was reported at 509 Broadway on the evening of Monday, Sept. 12, unconfirmed reports said. The addressed used to be the location of Wang's Chinese Cuisine.

Upon arrival, crews found the smoke coming from the roof of the building and that the fire was concentrated in the ceiling, WHDH reports.

Officials did not specify whether or not the building was a total loss, the outlet reports. The Sushi restaurant next door did suffer some damage as well.

It is unclear what started the fire and no injuries were initially reported. This is a developing story so check back for updates.
